According to foreign media reports, Samsung will introduce new applications and its image processor brand into the automotive industry. Eyxnos Auto has been used in the automotive industry, while Isocell Auto is the new automotive image sensor brand.
Exynos Auto's in-vehicle processors are subdivided into Exynos Auto V, Exynos Auto A and Exynos Auto T, where V positions the in-vehicle infotainment system, while A and T locate the advanced driver assistance systems and telematics systems, respectively.
Exynos Auto was introduced to the automotive industry earlier, and Samsung has continued to provide Audi's in-vehicle infotainment solutions since 2017. Samsung has used the Exynos brand since 2011 to use its own design and production of application processors for its Galaxy smartphones. The Isocell brand was used by Samsung for CMOS image sensor products last year.
Samsung established its automotive division in 2015 and said it will expand its product portfolio to the automotive components business. Since then, Samsung has acquired Harman International and continues to expand its automotive product solutions.
In addition, Samsung's System LSI business is responsible for manufacturing logic chips, and the company plans to develop more artificial intelligence and 5G solutions next year.
