Avago Technologies, a leading provider of analog interface components for communications, industrial and consumer applications, today announced a new automotive grade optocoupler at the 2010 Electronic Trade Show that has an extended operating temperature for mixing Power car. More and more consumers are demanding more powerful engines for hybrid vehicles, which has led automakers and their suppliers to continue to seek more powerful gate drive optocouplers to help drive high-power engines and battery chargers. DC-DC converter system. The latest Avago ACPL-38JT 2.5Amp optocoupler meets AEC-Q100 Grade 1 stress testing requirements and provides safe signal isolation from -40℃ to +125℃.
The highly integrated ACPL-38JT power control device features a complete insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) driver for signal conversion and a desaturation detection and error status feedback system to ensure continuous signal protection. The device is part of the Avago R2Coupler optocoupler family and features enhanced insulation for reliable signal isolation, which is important in automotive and high temperature industrial applications such as isolated IGBT / power MOSFETs (MOSFET) ) Gate drive, industrial inverter, AC and brushless DC motor drive and uninterruptible power supply.
“This latest addition to our R2Coupler range gives Avago the most complete portfolio of optocouplers for automotive use, which gives our products a very favorable market position to work with the hybrid market,” Avago Cheng-Dee Lee, director of isolation product business and application development, said. “More than 40 automotive companies, including automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers, are using or evaluating our R2Coupler isolation products. Avago optocouplers are well known for their reliable signal, high voltage isolation and excellent immunity to electromagnetic interference. Over 35 years of field application experience in the military, aerospace, public transportation and industrial markets."
During operation, the ACPL-38JT optocoupler's hysteresis undervoltage lockout (UVLO) protection protects the IGBT from gate voltage degradation by forcing a reduced output. The integrated IGBT gate driver is designed to increase the performance and reliability of motor drive without compromising the cost, size and complexity of discrete designs. The device is available in a small 16-pin (SO-16) surface mount that meets UL 1577, IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-2 and CSA industrial safety standards.
At the 2010 Electronics Show in New Munich International Convention and Exhibition Center on November 9-12, Avago exhibited the ACPL-38JT optocoupler and a large number of isolation, fiber optics, motion control and LED products for the industrial and automotive markets. Located at booth 458 in Hall A4.
