North American semiconductor equipment manufacturers' shipments continued to fall in October, at $2.06 billion, falling for five consecutive months and hitting an 11-month low.
According to estimates by the International Semiconductor Industry Association (SEMI), North American semiconductor equipment manufacturers shipped $2.06 billion in October, down 0.9% from $2.07 billion in September, but still up 2% from the same period last year.
SEMI said that the shipments of semiconductor equipment manufacturers in North America in October reflected the recent weak demand for personal computers (PCs), mobile phones and servers. In addition, memory prices have slowed down, and memory manufacturers have slowed down their investment response.
The South Asian Branch of the Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) plant decided to reduce the capital expenditure this year from the original 24 billion yuan (NTT, the same below) to 21 billion yuan, slowing the expansion.
Due to the risk of headwinds in the short-term market, the application materials of the semiconductor equipment factory are conservative in the first quarter of the 2019 fiscal year. The expected quarterly revenue will be about 3.56 billion to 3.86 billion US dollars. The median value will be reduced by 12% per year. From about 0.75 to 0.83 US dollars, the median value will also be reduced by 25%.
