Corning Introduces Precision Glass Solutions In Semiconductor Microelectronics

Corning today announced that it will showcase its range of precision glass solutions for semiconductor microelectronics applications at the 2018 Taiwan International Semiconductor Show from September 5th to 8th. Semicon Taiwan is one of the world's largest exhibitions in the field of semiconductor microelectronics.

Corning has teamed up with its extensive range of glass products and related technologies to showcase its grand exhibitions, including automated laser glass cutting machines and industry-leading glass metrology tools for semiconductors and related applications.

Corning's exhibits include:

- Industry-leading glass carrier for applications such as advanced semiconductor packaging

- Wafer-level optical solutions and a wide range of glass products for precision 3D sensing, such as face recognition

- High refractive index glass, polymer and coating for AR augmented reality products

David Velasquez, vice president and general manager of Corning Precision Glass Solutions, said: "As semiconductor factories and semiconductor manufacturing processes begin to adopt glass products, we have witnessed a growing market demand for glass solutions. Therefore, Corning designed a one-stop shop. Precision glass solutions to meet the industry's demand for glass."
